The Haute Papier team always loved the look of letterpress, and after taking just one workshop in March of 2008 we decided we were up for the challenge of printing our own designs. So in April of that same year, we became the very proud parents of our first adopted press, a 7x11 Golding Pearl Old Style #3, who we named Pearl. She came from Pittsburgh and is just beautiful! Although Pearl fit right in to the Haute Papier family, we weren't satisfied with just one press. Just under a year later, we adopted a C&P 9x12 from an arts council in Rochester, NY. Safe and sound in our Leesburg, VA location, Gertrude (or Gertie for short) has become the work-horse of our fleet of presses!

Our much-loved presses bring the fine art of letterpressing to Haute Papier, and their work creates quite an impression - literally - on everything we prints! From custom wedding suites to a new product for our "at home" collection, we're always trying to letterpress something new, different and completely fabulous!

We're so in love with letterpressing we have a little saying that applies to just about everything else we find ourselves doing ... We'd rather be letterpressing!
